Both Dawns of the Dead are classics in their own right even though the latter is meant to be a remake, it is original enough to be hailed as a new creation. The original graces our visual senses of a friend in ones midst that's transforming before you into the very creature that you've fought so hard to keep out. The later version leaves no room for hope and happy endings so forming attachments is not advised.
