SIALKOT: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has ruled out any possibility of forming a political alliance with the PML-N, saying that the time for alliance with Sharifs was now over.

All the doors of political alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were now closed, said the PML-Q chief while speaking to media representatives at village Bhallowali-Aadha, Daska tehsil on Saturday.

Federal Minister for National Regulation and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Chaudhry Moonas Elahi were also present on the occasion.

Hussain said that he was satisfied with his party’s alliance with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) as the PPP-led government was making all important political decisions by taking the PML-Q leadership into confidence, adding the PML-Q-PPP political alliance was reflecting political aspiration of the masses.

He said that both of the parties were doing the politics of national reconciliation for strengthening the institutions and for promoting democratic norms and values in the country. “We will never allow any one to derail the democracy in the country,” he added.

Earlier, addressing a public gathering, Hussain said that being one of the biggest political party, the PML-Q has deep roots among the masses. He said that vote bank of the party was growing with passage of time.
