THIS refers to the report ‘Public perceptions, police capacity and performance’ (Oct 30).

Regular walkers along the Beach Avenue in the DHA are familiar with the sight of young couples, perhaps married or simply friends, sitting on benches indulging in nothing more depraved than enjoying the fresh sea breeze.

Equally common is the spectacle of policemen roaming on motorcycles or pickups, questioning them and perhaps demanding, one hopes, nothing more than their ‘nikahnamas’.

COMMENTS

  1. I have never met a patrol officer who thought his salary was enough.

  2. What a police! Even their intelligence is so primitive.
