KARACHI, Nov 3: Karachi Club Sports Committee held a function here on Friday evening to honour their record-breaking swimmers who finished runners-up at the Sindh Age Group and Open Swimming Championship recently.

The 15-year-old Saad Amin emerged as the star swimmer of the meet and won as many as seven gold and four silver medals — creating four new records in the process besides getting named as the best swimmer of the event.

He was presented a shield and a cash award of Rs40,000.

Mazhar Naqvi also excelled with six gold medals and broke two provincial record in the open category.

He received a cash reward of Rs20,000.—APP
