LAHORE, Nov 4: Indian film artiste Akshay Kumar has said music sense in Pakistan is far better than India and that Pakistani singers and musicians are extremely talented.

Mr Kumar said this in a live video press conference at a local club which he was addressing from Mumbai, India, on Sunday.

The conference was organised by the club for promotion of Kumar’s upcoming flick Khiladi 786 to be released on Dec 7.

The Bollywood star, to a question said he had been working on holding the film’s premier in Pakistan for which he would try his level best to visit the country.

To a question about the title of the film, he said it had nothing to do with its religious connotation, adding that it was all about palmistry. He said the protagonist in the film had met 785 girls in his life and was going to meet another girl.

When asked why in many Bollywood movies heroine was always portrayed a Pakistani girl and hero an Indian, the artiste said he would specially get a script written in which the situation would be reversed.

To another query, Kumar said Pakistan had become an important market for Indian movies.

He thanked Pakistani government for allowing Indian films’ screenings here, saying the purpose of holding a video press conference was also to expand people-to-people contact through the media.

To a question, the star said he would love to have a co-production with Pakistani film folks.

About memories of his previous visit to Lahore some 10 years ago, Kumar spontaneously said he just couldn’t forget the Lahori food “it was tasty and delicious”.

The conference was also a mini music launch as a song of the film was also played live on the occasion.
