Insecure lives of vaccinators
Polio dominates the future of a nation that is victim of the disease for not receiving proper vaccination in Pakistan.
Last year 164 polio cases were reported and this year 40 cases of polio have been reported but Balochistan’s condition is worse than that of other provinces.
Moreover, it is a matter of concern that children’s lives will be at risk without vaccination. It is alarming to see children who are victim of polio.
Recently, a three-year-old child became a victim of this disease in Sheerani district in Balochistan.
Vaccinators try to go from door-to-door and administer polio vaccine to children aged less than five years, but have failed due to lack of proper security arrangements.
Recently, an unknown man was shot dead during anti-polio campaign in Quetta.
The lives of vaccinators are not safe in Pakistan. How can they protect the lives of children from polio if they themselves are not safe?
The health department should provide proper security to vaccinators so that they are able to administer a polio vaccine.

It does not seem fair that the children must suffer.
