THIS is apropos of Rehman Malik’s statement on the military operation in South and North Waziristan. His statement reminded me of Swat and minor operations in tribal agencies. Thousands of people were displaced, their businesses destroyed, and even the people who grew up in peace, amid natural beauty, love, sincerity and humanity, have been forced to face a bloody battle.

The place which was known as a paradise of Khyber Pakhutnkhwa turned into a bloody battlefield. Although I do not belong to Swat, I could not stop myself from crying on every wound to Swati civilians. I want to ask Mr Malik if operation is the only option left. In case it is the only option, it will be difficult for Pakistan to have more than one Swat in the shape of South and North Waziristan.
