Renowned comedian of Karachi stage Sikandar Sanam died on Nov 5. He was diagnosed with cancer in the month of September and a few weeks back his condition deteriorated at a rapid pace. Sikandar Sanam performed numerous roles on stage and was known for his comedic timing and hilarious one-liners. He shot to national fame when he parodied the famous Salman Khan film, Tere Naam, on a satellite TV network and played the main lead. The success of the project led him to do a couple of more such projects, all of which were well-received.

Sikandar Sanam worked on stage alongside the likes of Umar Sharif, Shahzad Raza and the late Liaquat Soldier. He will be sorely missed.
