CNG station owners’ tactics
AFTER the order of the Supreme Court to cut the CNG prices by almost Rs31 many CNG stations all over the country have closed their business. These CNG station owners are of the view that now there is no profit in selling CNG at reduced prices.
The government has also failed to take action against these CNG stations. Many CNG stations in Karachi and other cities have been closed and people have to fill highly priced petrol in their vehicles tanks.
Public transport owners in Karachi have also not reduced fares and Sindh transport minister have also failed in this regard.
We know that the government does not obey Supreme Court orders and violates its verdicts. This stubbornness of CNG stations and public transport owners shows that no one wants to obey Supreme Court when it reduces their profit.
Had there been an honest and credible government in Pakistan it would have surely taken strict action against these mafias.

if its being reduced by 31 rs, then tax being paid by cng station to gov (as they say is still same )should also be calculated and reduced aswell. by the way with the same price they are still earning, just it not enough as before where people have become millionairs.
Rightly said. All culprits here. Nothing good can be done in this country.
Most of the CNG stations are directly or indirectly owned by ministers, govt. officials and other influential people who are linked to major political parties in Pakistan so how will any one expect that they will obey SC orders . Even Govt. will not do anything in this regard but in the next election we our-self will surely give them mandate to form the govt. despite of anything they do to us as if it is the right of these bunch of people and have a license of CORRUPTION but still we will elect them . They have no concerned whats happening to people of Pakistan their only concern is the money , money and money .
I have not seen any country with financial success with any governmental agencies dictating the prices of good and products. It is the competition which brings the prices to reasonable levels and courts and government should have bo business in telling the merchants to sell their products and services at certain prices. I had never worked nor it will ever work in future. It is market forces which should determine the prices.
I completely agree. That is how it works everywhere else in the world.
