Pakistan US ties should also be based on mutual trust, not interest alone. Ties based on interest alone can neither flourish nor create a good impact in the heart of the peoples. The peoples of Pakistan wants to know through action & not words what will be the after the US withdraws its forces from Afghanistan. Pakistan is still haunted by the shadow of the bitter past.

US presidential campaign debate also deliberated upon Pak- US relations in future and a question was asked from the candidates; it is time for US to divorce Pakistan? Relations between the countries don’t go long way when one is always prepared and looks for an appropriate opportunity and time to divorce other.
