TIMERGARA, Nov 12: The activists of Pakistan People’s Party in Malakand division on Tuesday lashed out at party ministers and lawmakers for their behaviour with them.
They criticized PPP ministers and lawmakers during a workers’ convention held at the residence of former federal minister Najmud Din Khan at Chakdara with divisional coordinator of PPP Afsarul Mulk in the chair.
A large number of party workers from all the seven districts of Malakand division attended the convention.
Minister of State for Inter-Provincial Coordination Malik Azmat Khan, MPA Mohammad Zamin, Swat PPP president Salimur Rahman, Dir Upper president Arifullah, Dir Lower president Khurshid Ali Khan, Malakand Agency president Abdul Kabir Khan, PSF former provincial coordinator Bacha Hussain, former MPA Jehangir Khan, Shaukatullah, Fazal Hayat Chattan of Swat, Engineer Hamid Iqbal of Shangla, Haidar Bacha of Lower Dir, women wing divisional president Nilofar Babar, PSF president Israr Yousafzai, Buner PPP president Zahir Shah Khan and Masihullah spoke on the occasion.
The PPP activists said that performance of party ministers and lawmakers was equal to zero. They said that Malakand division was once considered mini Larkana as majority of seats were won by PPP. “Now other political parties are getting strength in the region owing to poor performance of the incumbent party lawmakers,” they said.
PPP party leaders, on the occasion, said that a workers’ convention at divisional level would be held on Nov 17 in Swat. “The party will show its strength in this convention that will prove a last nail in the coffin of opposition parties,” Malik Azmat said.
He added that PPP was still the largest party in the area and it would win all seats in next general elections.
The PPP leaders termed re-organisation of party at provincial level a big achievement, saying they were fully supporting Anwar Saifullah Khan. They said that PPP would not form alliance with any other party during the next general elections.
