ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Wednesday granted a deadline to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) until Dec 4 to take a final decision pertaining to filing a reference against former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for misuse of his authority, DawnNews reported.

The order was issued when a five member bench, headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, was hearing the case pertaining to the appointment of convicted people in the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) and Oil & Gas Development Corp. Limited (OGDC) by the prime minister.

Prosecutor General of the NAB KK Agha informed the court that NAB has decided not to file a reference against Gilani but it will file references against the officers who were involved in the appointing process.

Prosecutor NAB was of the view that the accused officers did not inform the prime minister about the conviction of the appointees.
