LAHORE, Nov 16: Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, wife of Pakistan Test all-rounder Shoaib Malik, visited the Gaddafi Stadium and watched the President’s Trophy match between PIA and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.

Sania came to the stadium in the afternoon and watched the match for about 90 minutes, during which Shoaib did both bowling and batting for the PIA.

Shoaib remained unbeaten on 26 while attempting to avoid a defeat at the hands of the SNGPL, which is in strong position after taking a lead of 133 runs in the first innings.

Sania left the stadium without talking to the media.

Later, Shoaib said he celebrated his wife’s 26th birthday on Thursday.

Shoaib said he and his wife find less time to spend together as both are professional players.

Regarding the upcoming tour of India, Shoaib said it had always been a tough one and he would try his best to perform if he gets a chance.

He said though the Indian team is playing international cricket, Pakistan’s cricketers are also in touch with the game due to the President’s Trophy.
