ATTOCK, Nov 17: The Central Police Office (CPO) Punjab, on Saturday, appointed Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi as the District Police Officer (DPO) of Attock district.

The spokesman of the district police said DPO Rizvi, who was earlier serving as Superintendent Police (SP) Elite Monitoring Punjab at CPO Lahore, would assume office on Sunday.

The DPO post had been vacant since the transfer of former DPO, Mohammad Hilal Khan, on Nov 12 to the Gilgit-Baltistan Police after a ten-month tenure in Attock. Since then, SP Investigations Abbas Majeed Khan had been appointed as the acting DPO. —Correspondent
