LAHORE, Nov 19: Four goals apiece from Sufi Mohammad Haroon and Ameer Jumabhoy inspired Master Paints to a fine start in the LP Polo Cup with a 12-1½ win over LPD here on Monday.

The well-knit Master Paints side shocked the rivals with a burst of four goals in the very first chukker with Haroon firing two and Jumabhoy and Asif Tiwana striking one each to eliminate the half-goal handicap lead and move ahead with a 4-½ leap.

The second chukker saw Jumabhoy in superb form as he pumped in three more, while Haroon showing no mercy for the rivals hit his third to increase the lead to 8-½.

There was no respite for the losers in the third chukker too as Asif Tiwana, Haroon and Shah Qubilai Alam contributed one goal each to enhance the lead to 11-½.

In the fourth chukker, Qubilai netted his second goal of the match, before Azam Hayat Noon contributed a consolation goal for the LDP.

In the second match, four goals by Usman Haye and two by Bilal Haye guided Adisseo to a 7-5 win.
