PESHAWAR: Security personnel arrested a person Rasool Khan Dawar, suspected of collecting funds for Uzbek militants on Waziristan, at Peshawar airport on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Rasool Khan Dawar, hailing from Mosaki village in Mirali tehsil of North Waziristan, is reportedly a BEd and a school teacher who is suspected of affiliation with Uzbek militants and involvement in fund collection activities for the militants.

Family and official sources confirmed his arrest.

Security forces shifted the suspect to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

In another incident, security forces arrested two suspected militants from Bara Road in Peshawar's suburban area of Sarband.

The arrests were reportedly made on the information received from the suicide bomber and his handler, who were arrested in Peshawar on Tuesday.
