Asghar Khan case: incomplete verdict

The Supreme Court has issued a detailed judgment in Asghar Khan’s case and ruled that the 1990 polls were rigged. According to the judgment, institutions should not be involved in illegal activities.

Many politicians have allegedly received money from Younis Habib. Younis Habib also distributed money among politicians in 1993. The question is who will investigate the Mehran Bank scandal.

There is also contradiction between Durrani’s affidavit and Beg’s statement. Beg says Nawaz Sharif had not received money and Durrani Affidavit shows that he had. It seems that the Supreme Court is being used for vested interests.

The Supreme Court should avoid hearing old cases. Hearing of such cases will create a rift among the institutions.

The statements of the Army Chief and Chief Justice show institutional rift and clash.

I appeal to the Supreme Court to hear public cases which have been pending in court.

  1. Supreme court is doing well, now only supreme court is hope of people, justice should be done, either later or early. Army or politician or judges or terrorist groups or particular men are not above of law. Judges please for God sake give the verdict only on merit and do the justice with every one equally.

      • There is a saying in Urdu that Bhaines kay agaaay beeeen bajanay say faida koi nahin. Meaning if you play flute in front of a Bison (BHAINES), is useless, it will not let the bison dance. So telling quotes to the nation and the heroes or the ZEROES of the nation does nto help. OUR leadership of Pakistan is all but honest, truthful and virtuous. They are devoid of the virtues but claim to be martyred and thereby rightful RICH rulers of POOR PAKISTAN
