Karachi law and order case: Court summons DG Rangers on Tuesday

KARACHI: The hearing for the Karachi law and order case continued on Monday at the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry, DawnNews reported.

The court summoned the Director General (DG) Rangers for tomorrow’s hearing.

A five-member bench of the apex court led by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali was hearing the Karachi law and order case on Monday. The bench included Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Sarmad Jalal Usmani, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Gulzar Ahmed.

During the hearing, the League Officer of Rangers presented a report in court, which was rejected by the bench.

  1. Rangers are posted deterrance only. They will never be effective unless relieved of politicians. Mixing of politically controlled police force and rangers is spoiling the Rangers troops.
