KARAK, Nov 26: Five people were killed in different incidents in the district on Monday.

Police said in the first incident a young girl, Amal Jana, daughter of Abdul Ghafoor, resident of Barbara Banda area of Banda Daud Shah tehsil, committed suicide.

The relatives of the slain girl reported to Terri police station that the girl committed suicide by hanging herself over some domestic issues.

In the second incident, a teenaged camel rider Mohammad Usman, (15-year-old) of Umar Khan Kala area of Banda Daud Shah, was shot dead by unknown armed assailants while grazing his camels in the nearby hills. Later, his relatives brought his body to civil hospital Terri for autopsy.

The father of the slain Mohammad Usman registered FIR against unknown persons in Terri police station.

Another young girl, whose name was yet to be ascertained, committed suicide in Ghundi Mir Khankhel area of Karak tehsil by inhaling insecticides.

Sources claimed two young men riding a motorcycle were seriously injured when their motorcycle fell into a ravine in Lawagher Chani Khel area. They were pulled out by local people in serious condition. Both later succumbed to injuries while being taken to a local health centre.
