LAHORE, Nov 26: Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Monday stood a section office of the Faisalabad district government up in the courtroom for hours for concealing facts about the appointment of a naib qasid.

The judge directed officer Muzafarul Haq to appear before him on Dec 6 with record of the case.

Petitioner Muhammad Irfan contended that he had applied for the post of naib qasid in the city district government and only his appeared on the merit list issued by the department. The officials ignored the list and appointed another person who even had not applied for the post.

In the previous hearing, the officer had stated that the name of the appointed person was also on the merit list.
