GUJRANWALA, Nov 28: District and Sessions Judge Raja Akhlaq Husain ordered on Wednesday to register a case against an SHO and the investigation officer for illegally detaining a woman.

Reports said complainant Mussarat Bibi filed a petition pleading that Baghbanpura police picked up her sister, Rehana, from her house and kept her in the police station without any lawful authority.

On the direction of the court, bailiff Muhammad Iqbal raided the police station and recovered Rehana and produced her in court.

The judge summoned SHO Malik Irfan and IO Sarwer but they could not satisfy the court. — Correspondent
