ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources, Dr Asim Hussain, called on the Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr Ali Akbar Salehi, on Sunday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

Dr Asim, who is on a two-day visit to Iran these days, also held meetings with Iranian Petroleum Minister, Rostam Ghasemi, and Advisor to the President and Head of the Centre for Innovation and Technology Cooperation (CITC), Hamid R. Amirinia.

During these separate meetings with the Iranian Petroleum Minister and the Foreign Minister, Dr Asim discussed bilateral relations with focus on the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline. He was given a briefing on the achievements of Iran in the field of nano- technology by Hamid R. Amirinia.

The two sides agreed to explore ways and means to cooperate in this field.

Dr Asim Hussain will also call on the Iranian President.
