The state does what it does, and this article puts forward plausible reasons why. But millions of internet users in Pakistan also make a statement by accepting the ban without a blip of protest. And several other millions accepting restrictions on basic freedoms like using a motorbike or cell phone, just as readily, makes us a nation too docile or unintelligent or both, to hold on to the few rights we have.

You need a lesson in humility. Pakistanis like you greatly overestimate their clout. If Google amends it’s search engine to suit so-called Pakistani sentiments, it will lose many times more revenue from non-Pakistanis. Anyways, why dont your sentiments deter you from standing in queue for a American, Canadian or U.K. visa where Youtube is not blocked.
