Marko Ahtisaari, Nokia Executive Vice President of Design, introduced the Nokia Lumia 620 at the Le Web 2012 in Paris, France. The $249 Lumia 620 smartphone will go on sale in January 2013 in Asia, with the Middle East and Europe to follow.

The Lumia 620 uses the new Windows Phone 8 platform and has seven exchangeable shells. It will be available in numerous colours including orange, magenta, lime green, yellow, cyan, white and black.

Nokia Lumia 620 comes with a VGA front-facing camera and a five megapixel main camera. Features are enabled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon™ S4 Plus processors.

Earlier reports suggest that Nokia will partner with China Mobile to launch a version of its new flagship Lumia smartphone customized for China’s cellular market.

China Mobile, the world’s biggest operator with more than 700 million subscribers will start sales for the Lumia 920T, the first phone based on Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8 platform in China’s third-generation (3G) network.
