LAHORE: Chief selector Iqbal Qasim has said they are not considering selecting Mohammad Yousuf for the India series. Pakistan will play three One-day Internationals and two T20s on the tour.

“Yousuf is playing in the ongoing National T20 Cup but he did not take part in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. He is clearly not a candidate for selection,” Iqbal said while talking to reporters here on Tuesday.

He said both all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and spinner Raza Hasan were unfit and he would assess their fitness before considering their names for selection.

Iqbal said the selection of the squad for the Indian tour will hopefully be finalised by Saturday.

“We have started consultation for finalising the squad,” he added.

He said as the tour of India was a short one, only one team would hopefully be selected for both ODI and T20 series.
