Football needs boost in Pakistan
IN football Pakistan has performed poorly on the international stage. With an international ranking of 176, it is virtually a non- entity. Poor commitment, uninspired coaching and negligible support have all led to the dismal performance.
The federation wants to focus on younger players and turn them into global football players. There are 720 football clubs in Pakistan and 14 clubs play in the PPL (Pakistan Premier League).
This shows that our Premier League has an ability to improve and polish our players. Unfortunately their budget is only about Rs0.5 million, which is not sufficient for their improvement While cricket and hockey budgets are quite big, Pakistan should develop a good football team which could do good in international matches.

Zavisa is too European for Pakistan, and his style does not suit Pakistan football team. The Pakistan national football team are not use to European style of play and not use to the European intelligence, they need to start from scratch and let Zavisa move on to a bigger far more lucrative club or even national team.
hockey and Cricket toh boost hojay
our government should support our football players.
Football is played all over the world as well as in Pakistan too, but there is no support from the Government. Pakistani Football players are very talented but they need a good training, grounds, jobs and financial assistance. If these all suport is provided then there is no questio of not shining in the arena of Football.
Sad that the article was too short. As a football lover, i want South Asian football to develope fast as Europeans or Americans. Also sad that Pakistan under 23 went down to Maldives in ongoing Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa International Football Tournament. It was pathetic they didnt call INDIAN under 23 as India would have completely dominated the game and won the cup. Best of luck Pak for the remaining matches. Closely watching the tournament and also ASEAN suzuki cup 2012..as Indian football is nowheer to be seen now. No friendlies etc etc…huh!
