LAHORE, Dec 5: Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah left for India on Wednesday after a week-long visit to the provincial capital during which he also performed at the Alhamra Art Centre.

Shah thanked the people of Lahore for their warm reception, saying: “I’m deliriously happy over the overwhelmed response by the audience during the performance and their hospitality.”

Muneeza Hashmi of the Faiz Foundation Trust told Dawn Shah would visit Lahore again next year for more of such performances.

“Next year, he may do theatre on Manto or some English plays. There are many options, however nothing has been finalised yet,” she added. — Staff Reporter
