Karachi police arrests 54 ‘suspects’

KARACHI: Police in Karachi arrested 54 suspected persons, including Asmatullah, a son of the deputy chief of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s Karachi chapter, 15 fugitives and one proclaimed offender, DawnNews reported.

The Khwaja Ajmer Nagri police arrested Asmatullah from near the North Karachi grid station.

Moreover, different police stations in the city’s west zone arrested 21 suspected individuals during the past 24 hours.

A rifle, nine TT pistols, narcotics and other material was recovered from the possession of the suspects.

Separately, Karachi’s east zone police arrested 33 suspected individuals, including 15 fugitives and one proclaimed offender. Weapons and narcotics were recovered from the possession of the arrested persons.

Excellent news. Looks like the depoliticizing of our police has begun. All known and suspected terrorists and bhatta khors need to be off our streets as today they are the biggest cause for us being dragged into darker ages. These people should be put into a separate high security facility and tried martial law style where the annonimity of judges, prosecuters and witnesses is maintained, and indictment and subsequent punishment is swift without any chance for appeals.
