President leaves for UK, to meet Malala
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari left on Friday for a weeklong official visit to the UK and France. He is expected to return to the country on Dec 13.
During his visit to Britain, the president will meet Malala Yousufzai, who is under treatment at a hospital in Birmingham.
“The president will meet 14-year-old Malala Yousufzai to inquire after her health,” sources in the Presidency told Dawn. The exact timing of the meeting could not be ascertained.
The president will also attend a high-profile event entitled ‘Stand Up for Malala: Girls’ Right to Education’, in Paris on Dec 10.
The event is being organised jointly by Unesco and Pakistan and it coincides with the International Human Rights Day.
During his visit to France, President Zardari will also hold talks with his French counterpart Francois Hollande on bilateral issues.

pakistanis are valued and respected more in foreign countries than in their own country. malala who was in pakistan under treatment did not concern the high authority, but as soon she was shifted to UK and is making progress, politicians started their political scoring by visiting her in UK. Shamless!!!!!
What is important, a visit to Malala or visit to Iran(cancelled) for the nation, your comments please
President had no time to visit her, in her own country while she was lying in crictal conditions. Then how one can belive this big lie.In reality he is going to solve his own personal problems at expense of this poor country massess.
Yes I totally agree with you. Why is so much money being wasted on an official visit when people in Pakistan are suffering, it simply defies belief. I just wish that people of Pakistan were educated enough to see how these people are robbing them and deceiving them.
