‘Sindh Employees Secured Cards’

RECENTLY the government of Sindh has decided to issue Sindh Employees Secured Cards (SESC) to all its employees.

In this regard the Deputy Secretary, Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, Government of Sindh, had issued a letter on Oct 10 to direct all employees, officers as well as officials, to get their Sindh Employees Secured Cards issued before Dec 15. The task of issuing the cards is accorded to Nadra.

For this purpose, Nadra will establish centres at Sindh Secretariat Building No.1, divisional as well as district headquarters, throughout the province in a week’s time.

It has been strictly instructed that the employees who have not acquired their Sindh Employees Secured Cards till the fixed date would not get their salaries for December.

The matter of concern is that Nadra has established centres only at Sindh Secretariat Building No.1 and at divisional headquarters but no centre has been established at district headquarters throughout the province so far.

The number of employees of the Sindh government is 70,000 to 80,000 in every division. So it is not only inconvenient but also impossible for Nadra centres established at divisional headquarters to issue cards to all the employees by Dec 15.

This problem is a cause for concern among Sindh government employees.

The authorities concerned should take notice of this colossal problem.
