Ishq and mamnoo are Arabic words not Urdu.

i had watched a Pakistani talk show on the internet a while ago in which the topic was Indian soaps were corrupting Pakistani values, one participant had suggested that since Pakistan did not have good soaps instead of importing from India, they should import from Egypt,turkey,Indonesia ect dub it and telecast the soaps as it would be from Islamic countries, and hence match the values of Pakistan

and now i see the comment below against the values of turkiya

This is great play. I love TV play. It tells about weaknesses in human beings. This play depicts untold stories even our conservative society.

problem is that our society, our values, our culture, our very own mixed culture has simply disappeared in the past 20 years and is replaced by Jihadi culture, beard culture, burqa culture, culture of hatred, killings, bombings, sadness, etc. Modernization is gone, so is happiness. People hide thier doing behind the veil of islam, beard and burqa. Behind the same, we are worst. We lie, we do everything hiding behind the veil. Its true that atleast the turks are what they look like, we are just opposite of what we try to look like. we only cover ourselves with beard n burqa. (not valid for all but for most)

I think the writer has got the title wrong. If the title written in Urdu on the column is correct the words say “ishq-e-mamnoon” which is “grateful love”. If it were “forbidden love” then it would have read “ishq-e-mamnoo”. Either the title or the writer is wrong.
