QUETTA: The two-month long doctors strike in Balochistan has come to an end on Thurday, DawnNews reported.

After successful talks between the government and representatives of the doctors community, the latter have now started working at government hospitals.

During a press conference in the provincial capital, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) President Sultan Tareen said that doctors will return to their duties throughout the province on Friday.

The Provincial Health Secretary said that cases against the doctors will be withdrawn.

Doctors had launched protests in Balochistan in response to the kidnapping for ransom and target killings in the province.

During the strike, government hospitals, OPD’s and operation theaters were shut, which caused great difficulties for patients.
