KARACHI, Dec 13: Young Mehdi Raza and M. Saqib stormed into boys’ under-12 singles final registering emphatic victories over their opponents in the semi-finals of the fourth Dr Essa Mohammad Karachi Open table tennis championship which commenced at the PSB National Coaching Centre the other day.

Mehdi disposed of Hammad Shaikh 11-7, 11-8, 11-9 while Saqib was extended to four games before returning 11-7, 11-5, 6-11, 11-9 victorious against Ali Asad.Earlier, Mehdi and Saqib defeated Zaheer Khan and Kaif Riaz 3-0 apiece in the two quarter-finals.
