ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees on Thursday welcomed a government’s decision to give the Afghan refugees the right to stay another six months in the country.
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Wednesday gave 1.6 million Afghan refugees the right to live in Pakistan for another six months, extending a deadline on their papers that had been due to expire on Dec 31.—Reporter
