I have had personal experience of dealing with the office of the Federal Ombudsman, who provided me speedy relief against a major government corporation. If this channel of relief was not available I I would not have obtained any redress, as going through the civil courts for relief is out of question for the common man given that one is up against the battery of lawyers representing the instituiton and can ill afford similar legal counsel.
i strongly feel abolishing the office o the Ombdusman would be a retrograde step and against public interest.
