Altaf seeks advice over his future

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has appealed to the party’s workers and sympathisers to give their opinion whether he should quit the leadership and leave politics if they thought the situation may further deteriorate in the wake of his decision to face ‘every challenge’.
According to an MQM statement released from London on Monday evening, Mr Hussain said that he was consulting legal experts after the issuance of a contempt notice by the Supreme Court.
Talking to members of the MQM coordination committee and constitutional experts, he said he was not afraid of anyone but Almighty Allah.
The way MQM workers and sympathisers had expressed their love and registered their protest after the issuance of contempt notice against him was commendable, Altaf Hussain added.
He said he was aware of their emotions, but despite this he was asking for their opinion whether he should quit the party leadership and leave politics.
“I will submit your opinion to the coordination committee and decide about my future in the light of public opinion.”
and thus i will be able to witch hunt and then remain the chairman after overwhelming support and then a little Dr Imran farooq!
It will be great service to our nation if you step down. There will be peace in my lovely and beautiful city Karachi.
Altaf Hussain is the only hope left for pakistani minorities. period.
Pakistan needs you Alataf Bhai.. please come back, pretty please! There are so many people waiting for you here… Please let us know if there is any way, any way at all, we can bring you back to the country and to justice? If you are not afraid of anyone then why don’t you come back to the country and leave your fate to the Almighty. How odd, now the fear of the Almighty Allah is creeping into your heart!
A party leader who never held an election in his party history of more than three decades and without a democratic structure in party is asking for ‘advice’ from his workers!! BRAVO!!
If he is a TRUE LEADER of the MQM then he should immediately come back to Pakistan and face all the charges against him like a MAN! If he continues to remain afraid and hide in his house in London, then he is unworthy of being a leader and should immediately quite the party! These theatrical actions by Altaf Bhai are becoming too common and are a convenient way for him to seek party sympathy whenever he finds himself cornered. He is very clever in manipulating the MQM Workers with his theatrics and using others in the party for raising the “threats to his life” chorus as an excuse not to return to Pakistan! Altaf Bhai should be ashamed of making fools of his followers for the last 25 years, sitting safely in London while the people of Karachi continue to suffer violence every day!
For the greater interest of our nation and to have fresh new people and young generation come into leadership – I respect you have decided to step down..
I / the people of Pakistan think that it’s about time and right decision.

I would say that Altaf Hussain should quit the MQM and disappear – enough is enough.
Statement should be ” I am afraid of Allah and returning to Pakistan.”
says their protest is commendable – wow – may GOD ALMIGHTY save Pakistan.
It is about time that Aitaf Hussain should step down as party leader, he has become liability for MQM. He doesn’t have to leave the party. There ample examples all around the world that you can still contribute for the party after stepping down from the top position. A party leader is best when he is in the country and leading from the front there.
Altaf Husain please stop exploiting the innocent people of Pakistan.
