Govt cuts petrol, kerosene prices; diesel prices increased

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani government issued a notification on Friday of readjustment in the prices of petroleum products (POL), which will come into effect from Saturday midnight, DawnNews reported.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, the price of Petrol will be reduced by Rs 1.23 per litre, while the price of Kerosene Oil will be cut by Rs0.22 per litre.

The government has also brought changes in prices of diesel, raising the price of High Speed Diesel by Rs Rs0.36 per litre and increasing the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs0.45 per litre.

According to the notification, the price of Petrol from Saturday Dec 22 will be Rs 101.42, while Kerosene Oil will be sold at Rs 98.81 per litre.

The new price for High Speed Diesel will be Rs 110.13, while Light Diesel will be sold at Rs 94.34.
