KARACHI: Three people including worker of a political party were killed on Friday in different incidents of violence in Karachi, DawnNews reported.

Two other people also sustained injuries when unidentified miscreants opened fire on the political activist in Sadar area of the metropolis.

Angry mobs set a blaze two motorcycles while shops were reported to be shut in the area after the incident.

Heavy contingents of police and rangers cordoned off the site and restored serenity in the area.

Meanwhile, a man who was injured in a firing incident in Baldia Town earlier, succumbed to his wounds while receiving medical treatment. Another man, identified as Abdul Razzaq, was gunned down in Gulshan-e-Bahar locality.

Earlier, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a bomb concealed in a cement block near Cheel Chowk in Lyari neighbourhood.

On the other hand, CID police arrested three alleged members of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during a raid near Noorani Hotel in Manghopir area.

The police have recovered weapons from suspects’ possession, which are identified as Mubashir Khan, Kausar Khan and Risalat Khan.

Moreover, in another raid police arrested an alleged ring master of an inter-provincial robbery gang from Sher Shah. Arrested is identified as Mansoor alias Buhtaan.
