Recent assassination of one of Pakistan’s senior minister amidst stringent security arrangement and the interior minister R. Malik’s assessment (“worse than ’69 and ’71″) gives a much better insight of the current situation. I hope things improve in Pakistan and cricket can wait till then.

Absolutely right Animesh Rahman at first Pakistan should make the country safe for it’s people then invite anyone. The country which had failed to secure its own peoples, ministers how will it secure it guest.

Needless to say, any violence near the Bangladeshi team, even if it is not a direct attack as was the case for the Sri Lankan team, will occlude chances of cricket in Pakistan for many more years. One suspects that the insurgents are aware of this prospect and maybe scheming accordingly.
