This was a brilliant movie. I saw it when it first came out in 2001. It also introduced me to the brilliant pop song “Mad World” by Gary Jules, which it self is a cover version of a Tears for Fears classic. The use of 80′s classic bands like Echo and Bunnymen combined with the strange surreal landscape of 80′s American subutbs made this an instant cult favorite. Natasha Khan from Bats for Lashes also used the film concept in her music video.

its already well recognised movie, i liked starting scene of cycling, but as a whole i did not understood movie. As a student of psychiatry i see lot of psych related stuff but this one i did not understand.

This comes nowhere near what I remember of the movie…. I guess that interpretation business must be kicking in…. but from what i remember there was lots of impregnable theoretical physics involved… the plane engine through the wormhole… the explanation of the six foot rabbit…. that old woman who wrote a book on time travel… those arrows that seemed to show everyone’s path….
