This rape has shaken the Indian middle class because this has happened in the very heart of our capital. That is not to say that this reaction is uniform. Women in villages and other patriarchia societies are treated exactly the way you mentioned in pakistan. Not only the scale but also the cruelty, violence and brutality is not one shade less here in India!It is simply reported less because those voices are very distant and truly powerless.
The only good outcome would be people like you and me raise our voices so loud a potential criminal hears it and desists

this is wrong news. this cop was not injured. he has died of a cardiac arrest. lohia hospital has confrmed that there are no injuries on his body and cause of death is ‘cardiac arrest’. why is the media always so confused

It is sad that the policeman died. Mahatma Gandhi had once suspended a campaign for independence when a mob set fire to a police station in Chauri Chaura. That lesson needs to be applied here.
