QUETTA, Dec 25: President of the National Party (NP) Dr Malik Baloch has said the federal and Balochistan governments have failed miserably in resolving the longstanding Balochistan problem.
Speaking at a press conference at the end of a two-day executive committee meeting of his party on Tuesday, Dr Baloch said the party would soon launch election campaign in the province and mobilise the people.
He said the country, particularly Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi, were confronted with violence and innocent people were being killed there but the government’s inaction had made the situation worse.
Mr Baloch claimed that political groups in the struggle against the military dictatorship played a vital role for restoration of democracy but the PPP leadership, after coming into power, forgot its commitment made with the people.
He alleged that due to corruption and mismanagement by the government the country plunged into a political and economic crisis.
The NP president asserted that approximately 500 mutilated bodies had been dumped while hundreds of Baloch youths were missing. Besides, a large number of people had moved to other areas of the country due to military operation in Kohlu and Dera Bugti.
