Chinese regulars trains are as bad as Pakistani trains. I traveled from Shanghai to Ningbo in 2009 and it was pathetic. water all over the floor. uncomfortable seats. smelled awful. Same is with American Amtrak. In 1997 I traveled from Chicago to New York and was comparing it to our trains. Our trains were not far behind. So much so for trains around the world compared to Pakistani trains. Our trains are not efficient because we dont want them to be efficient. Our Shalimar train is so far the best train service I have experienced. This doesn’t include the journey from Frankfurt to Paris. European train system is by far the most advanced and efficient alongwith cleanliness and ambiance.

I hope that Chairman, PWR reads this article. Running a bullet train at 300 is a far fetched ided, if the PWR could double the track from Karachi to Peshawar and run the train at a speed of 100/125, would be a great achivement for them. It was a pleasure traveling by trains like Tezgam and rail cars between Lahore and Rawalpindi, in the 70s. PWR is in pathic state. Chairman Saheb seek the help of the Chienes, if you do not want to patronize the local available talent within PWR.

Although China think-tank planned for almost half of their country trade route and first they made Gawader port and as my country fellow mindset probably they would connect shortest possible route towards Gawadar/ Karachi in future. As Pakistani I am thinking that China got independent after Pakistan and entire life I have struggled but till now, even don’t have any home.

China Railways now operates Bullet Trains. What does Pakistan Railways do? They are following behind donkey carts.
