LARKANA: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Thursday that one of Benazir Bhutto’s suspected killers was killed in a drone strike whereas the remaining accused languished in jail, DawnNews reported.

He said that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari would address the youth today, adding that, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) wants to resolve the country’s problems through dialogue.

Earlier, on Wednesday, the federal minister had said that Dec 27, 2012 would be an important day for the party and the country as another Bhutto was starting his political career.

He also said the journey started by the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and carried on by Benazir Bhutto to strengthen the country was full of crises, problems and sacrifices.

He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had begun the journey by giving a new philosophy to Pakistan, adding that, Benazir had also given her vision and now Bilawal would announce his vision.

In a related development, the National and Super highways were closed for heavy vehicular traffic on Thursday to facilitate the arrival of people attending the 5th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, reports said.

COMMENTS

  1. Shame on Kaira for not giving credit where it belongs – the Pak Fauj ! Pakistani army diligently worked to eliminate those who killed Benazir, it was not drones, but Pak army who killed Benazir’s killers. Pak Fauj zindabad !

  2. This should be in the comedy section ??

  3. then why are u pleading for halt to drone strikes even they r helpful in eradicating the victims of ms Bhutto!stop making fool of Pakistanis.

  4. Deaths of PPP leaders keeping them alive. It could be a dirty politics of their own, or mere a divine luck.

  5. Benazir came to power because Butto was hanged.
Zardari came to power because Benezir was assassinated
Bilawal will come to power only when Zardari will be……………………….

PPP firmly believes in the law of inheritance when it comes to party leadership and ruling the country rather than the democratic ways.

Lets wait and see how Bilawal get this turn……..

  6. what a joke, killed by drones? expose the real killers of this great leader, the faces and forces who are still there and around.

  7. If Obaidullah Mehsud was responsible, he was killed by US drone, then why blame Musharraf ? Zardari even blamed PML(Q) which he labeled Qatil League, now part of his government. Enough of ZAB & BB ‘s legacy exploitation.

  8. He will remain Bilawal Zardari……….
    Pakistanis are not fool.

  9. PPP, now please move on. Its about time to give-up the politics of dead people.
Bilawal is not from us, he does not know the issues and problems of this country.
Now only 98% will rule in Pakistan, Insha-Allah wa Taalah.

    A true Pakistani.

  10. But Bhutto is still alive (Kul bhi butto zinda tha aaj bhi …) than who has been killed in drone attacks may be the one who even did know about the BB and the drones….

  11. khallas! case closed. Now only democracy is left to take revenge from ppl as the PPP adage goes,
    “democracy is the
    best revenge”

  12. I am pleased that at least one of the suspected killers has been eliminated by drone attacks, it took Pakistan five years, however better late than never.

    • I suppose the killer is killed by American drones. Then, why are they opposing the American drones. Drones did the job that they could not do themselves.

  13. How convenient……hahahahaha

  14. Chalo kahanee khatam.

  15. PPP should learn the laws of inheritence and stop making fool of Pakistanis. Just by additing “Bhutto” to Bilawal Zardari’s name he does not become a Bhutto.

    • even if you are a genuine bhutto it does not make you a heir of a great leader …. Billawal has a lot to do …

    • The party leader should be elected from the existing party leadership, not by inheritance. Bhutoo’s, stop making fool of Pakistani people. They have already suffered a lot because of the previous Bhutoo’s. Remember what happened to Zulfiqar, Benazir and others. Now you are making Bilawal to face the same firing squad.

  16. yes, and another one died when he slipped in his bathroom. nothing left for Mr. Kaira to do, all killers taken care of by nature.

  17. I had no idea that the drones are operating deep even up to Islamabad!

  18. so you want to thank the drones or not?

    • They can thank drones for killing the Benazir’s killer, but it is politically incorrect to accept drone attacks publicly – privately drones are acceptable to have American support for PPP.
