ATTOCK, Dec 26: Police have arrested a man on charges of murdering his wife in Dhoke Maiki village of Fatehjang police area, police said on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident came to light when some people of the area informed the police that a woman was being laid to rest in suspicious manner by her in-laws.

Some of her relatives even told the police that she was actually murdered by her husband over a domestic dispute.

The local police rushed to the scene along with some local notables  to inquire the incident.  During arguments with the deceased woman’s relatives and record of their initial statements, the police got suspicious.

Meanwhile, Mansoor Hussain, a resident of Bhindar village was killed when his tractor overturned.

A 22-year-old boy was also killed, when he was hit by a Multan-bound express train near Fatehjang railway station.
