DOHA, Dec 27: Pakistan won the Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament here on Thursday by beating India 5-4 in a keenly contested final. Pakistan scored the first goal when Waqas Sharif beat an Indian defender, but India equalled the score just two minutes later and took a 2-1 lead by the end of the first half.

In the second half, both teams scored one goal after the other but with the fifth goal in the dying minutes Pakistan clinched the match and the championship.
