KARACHI, Dec 28: Almost entire Sindh remained in the grip of a sudden cold wave coming from Balochistan and north-westerly (Siberian) winds on Friday and a Meteorological official said that the weather was expected to remain dry and cold on Saturday in most parts of the province.

Responding to Dawn queries, the Pakistan meteorological official said that the minimum temperature recorded in Jacobabad on Friday was eight degrees centigrade and the maximum was 21 degrees centigrade. In other towns the temperature was: Badin, minimum 14 degrees centigrade and maximum 27 degrees centigrade; Hyderabad, minimum 13ºC and maximum 27ºC; Larkana, minimum nine degrees centigrade and maximum 22ºC; and Shaheed Benazirabad, minimum nine degrees centigrade and maximum 25ºC.

The Met official said that the weather in the province on Saturday was expected to remain cold and dry.

In Thatta the minimum temperature was expected to remain between 12 and 14ºC; Sukkur, between seven and nine degrees centigrade; Shaheed Benazirabad, between six and eight degrees centigrade; Larkana, between 10 and 12ºC; Jacobabad, between 11 and 13ºC; and Hyderabad, between 11ºC and 13ºC.
