Red Book’s most-wanted

The Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab issued a fresh edition of the Red Book with profiles and whereabouts of 70 high-profile terror suspects. Of these suspects, 28 belong to Sunni outfits, 20 to Shia outfits and 22 others to various banned outfits including the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. Some of the wanted criminals are involved in terror activities in other provinces and are on the wanted lists there as well.


Matiur Rehman alias Samad Sial Harkatul Jihad-al-Islami

He is an accused in the attacks on General (retired) Pervez Musharraf and at the Sheraton Hotel in Karachi. The Punjab government announced Rs10 million as head-money for his arrest while the Sindh government has announced Rs1 million.

Mansoor alias Chotoo Ibrahim Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan

He is wanted by the police for his links to an attack on General (retired) Pervez Musharraf and sectarian violence in Karachi. A reward of Rs5million has been announced for any information that will lead to his arrest.

Qari Ahsanul Haq alias Shahid, Basit & Huzaifa Binyaman Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan

He is wanted in connection with five terrorism cases and carries head-money of Rs5 million.

Qari Abdullah Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan

He is wanted by the police for his links in the attack on the Inter-Services Intelligence office in Qasim Baila, Multan and other sectarian cases.

Ikramullah Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan — Baitullah Mehsud group

He is wanted in connection with the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
