KARACHI, Dec 29: Khizar Aziz compiled a brilliant break of 85 to erase the previous highest 80 scored by Faisal Kashmiri as fourth round of 21st Sindh Snooker Cup ended at a local parlour here on Saturday.

His elegant break came in the first frame against Mirza Shadab Baig whom he sent packing 94-58, 58-39, 63-56 to reach the fifth and last knockout round.

Faisal, meanwhile, also made his exit losing to Hyderabad’s Faheem Siddiqui in five frames.

The fifth round will be played on Sunday with top eight cueists making it to the final league to be played by 16. The top eight will be joined by as many seeded players who were exempted from the knockout stage.

The league begins from Monday.
