Iran test-fires missiles near Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN: Iran’s navy says it has test-fired a range of weapons during ongoing maneuvers near the Strait of Hormuz, the passageway for one-fifth of the world’s oil supply.
The Monday report by the official IRNA news agency quotes exercise spokesman Admiral Amir Rastgari as saying the Iranian-made air defense system Raad, or Thunder, was among the weapons tested.
Iran says the system fires missiles with a range of 50 kilometres, capable of hitting targets at 75,000 feet.
He said torpedoes and underwater and surface-to-surface rockets were also successfully tested. The drill began Friday and ends Wednesday. It is one of a number of exercises Iran holds annually.
Iran has in the past said it might close the strait over Western sanctions, but has not made such threats recently.

Iran’s position is right to reinforce its defence capacity for its geopolitical needs and that of the region.
Iran needs to build its economy and provide employment to muslim neighbours.
Iran is already far ahead of it’s neighbors in economy. All this military power is to protect that economy.
Iran is truely a muslim state who is never being afraid of USA and its sactions.

Nationalism is a good thing , but remind you it’s a double edged sword . This is the way Mr.Hitler had fought , but what did he achieve ? What is the meaning of this nationalism when your country men give higher prices for life saving drugs , when you come down to barter trade , when food prices go high due to high import costs ? Ruler of this Islamic country should understand the duty of a ruler first.
